RHAM finishes the 2011 season 13-1-4. 

They were #1 in the CCC-East Conference and #2 in Class L.

2011 RHAM Boys Varsity Soccer Results

  • RHAM vs. Avon (ECSU) L 0 - 1.  Click here for photos (by Brenda Whalen)
  • RHAM played Avon in the pouring rain at ECSU under the lights in the quarterfinals of the state tournament.  No. 7 Avon scored on a penalty kick with 16:58 left in the second half to hand No. 2 RHAM its first loss of the season.  "The player did a terrific job of creating the foul" coach Jim Fromme said.  RHAM pressed the action the remaining 10 minutes but were unable to get the equalizer.

  • After getting a Bye in the first round of the state tournament . . .  Senior Colin Davis scored the winning goal half way through the second over time period to advance RHAM to the quarter finals.  The game was played at ECSU on their turf field under the lights.  The score was tied 0 - 0 at the end of regulation play.  RHAM has been no stranger to over time play this season which may have helped them come away with thier 13th win of the season.  For more pictures from Steve McLaughlin click here.

  • RHAM vs. Rocky Hill (Away) W 3 - 0.  Click here for photos
  • RHAM won 3 - 0 vs Rocky Hill today to end the season undefeated at 12-0-4.  RHAM goals were scored by Conor Wynne, Colin Davis, and Brandon Fromme.  Carson D'Ambrosio and Pat Stratton preserved the shutout in goal.  Congratulations on a great finish to the regular season to the CCC-East Conference Champions.

  • RHAM vs. Southington (Away) W 2 - 1 (2 OT).  Click here for photos
  • RHAM won a back and forth game in Southington on Sunday.  RHAM scored early in the first half.  It started with a corner kick from Anthony LoBello that was flicked on by Cooper D'Ambrosio.  Billy Walsh finished the play with a top spin volley over the keeper and under the bar.  RHAM dominated play for the rest of the game but Southington continued to play the ball long and was very aggressive.  Carson D'Ambrosio came off his line often and made some great stops.  However, Southington got an equalizer with just a few minutes rmaining in the game.  Both teams had chances for the go ahead goal.  RHAM put the game away in the second over time with an unasisted goal from Colin Davis who dribbled in to the left of the goal and drilled a low shot to the far post beating a defender as well as the Southington keeper.

    What a great Senior Day for the RHAM Boys Soccer team today.  All 8 Seniors started and RHAM clinched the CCC-East Conference with a win today vs. Fermi.  Tim Whalen scored on a free kick from Anthony LoBello in the first half which turned out to be the game winner.  Fermi came out strong and pressured the RHAM defense for almost all of the second half.  RHAM's defence led by the solid goal keeping of Carson D'Ambrosio was equal to the task and preserved the 1 - 0 score for the tenth win of the season. 

    • RHAM vs. Hartford Public (Away) W 2 - 1. 

    RHAM won again, this time vs. Hartford Public.  RHAM went ahead 2 - 0 in the first half on goals by Billy Walsh and Cooper D'Ambrosio.  Hartford Public scored early in the 2nd half but that was it for scoring for the rest of the game.

    RHAM won a back and forth game today in Bloomfield.  Brandon Fromme scored first for RHAM by heading in a lose ball in front of the net in the first half.  It was 1 - 0 at the half.  Bloomfield scored on a corner kick in the first minutes of the 2nd half.  Andrew Lavoie scored the game winner for RHAM with 15 minutes remaining off of a throw in by Josh Lawrence.  The throw in was flicked on by Billy Walsh and Andrew finished the play putting the ball in the back of the net.  Carson D'Ambrosio battled the Sun and Wind in the 2nd half to preserve the win. 

    RHAM continues it's unbeaten streak with a win over Rockville today.  RHAM goals were scored by Brandon Fromme (2), Cooper D'Ambrosio (2), Tim Whalen, and Josh Lawrence.  The shut was preserved by Carson D'Ambrosio and Pat Stratton.  The defensive highlight was a penalty kick that was stopped by Stratton in the 2nd half.  Carson also showed off some moves on the field later in the game.  

    Wow, what a come back.  RHAM tied E. O. Smith for the second time this season.  E.O. Smith went ahead in the first half 2 - 0.  Anthony LoBello and Cooper D'Ambriosio scored in the 2nd half for RHAM to tie the score.  The game remained tied after 2 Over Time periods.

    • RHAM vs. Tolland (Away) T 1 - 1. 

    RHAM tied Tolland for the second time this season.  The gamed ended at 1 - 1.  RHAM scored first when Ben Lawrence was fouled in the Tolland penalty area with 30 minutes remaining in the game.  Tim Whalen converted the penalty kick to go ahead 1 - 0.  However, Tolland came back and tied the score.  

    Tim Whalen scored on a corner kick served up by Anthony LoBello late in the first half.  Carson D'Ambrosio and the rest of the RHAM defense held on for another win.

    RHAM scored with less than a minute on the clock to avoid overtime and add another Win to their record.  RHAM was awarded a free kick deep in the offensive third of the field.  With time running out, Manchester disputed the spot of the kick and encroached on the ball causing the Ref stop the clock with only seconds remaining.  This gave RHAM time to set up the free kick.  Anthony LoBello drove the kick to the far post and it got by the Manchester keeper for the game winner.

    Billy Walsh scored early in the first half to give RHAM a 1 - 0 lead over Rocky Hill.  This turned out to be the game winner after RHAM dominated most of the game on a mangy pitch.

    RHAM goals scored by Tim Whalen, Conor Wynne, Anthony LoBello, and Billy Walsh (2).  Bloomfield scored on a penalty kick in the first half.

    RHAM goals scored by Ben Lawrence, Wade Titterton, and Tim Whalen.

    RHAM came back late in the second half to tie the score 1 - 1 on a header by Cooper D'Ambrosio off a throw in by Josh Lawrence.  It remained tied after over time.

    RHAM and Tolland battled to a scoreless tie under the lights at Eastern Connecticut State University.  Carson D'Ambrosio got the shut out in goal for RHAM.

    RHAM Boys Soccer started the season with a win over Hartford Public.  Anthony LoBello got the first goal of the season which turned out to be the game winner.
